Nature Crafting | Wall Hangings & Fort Building with Ms. Sarah!
- Recommended age: 5+
Get creative with nature! This session will have two crafts that are appropriate for all ages plus a fort building demonstration. Fort building will be better suited older students or younger students who's parents or guardians are able to assist them at a later time. The two crafts include a wall hanging and a weaving crafted from natural materials.
*Materials are not included in registration fee. Although it is encouraged, suggested materials are not required to participate. Adult supervision may be required.
Suggested materials:
- Natural wall hanging:
- Stick from outside
- String, warn, or twine
- Various collected materials (leaves, flowers, tall grasses, feathers, vines)
- Optional decorative materials (paint, ribbon, etc)
- Natural weaving:
- Piece of cardboard that is at least 1 foot by 1 foot (Recommended to pre-cut for younger students. See instructions here)
- String
- Various collected natural items (leaves, flowers, tall grasses, feathers, vines, etc)
- Fort building:
- 3-5 large, straight tree branches (they should be solid enough to stake into the ground) or bamboo
- Mallet or hammer
- Twine
- Smaller tree branches and other collected yard trimmings
