Natural Dyes & Pigments with Ms. Jillian!

Discover how to make natural dyes and pigments from flowers, berries and clay! We'll have some fun, and get a little messy, mashing berries to create a rich purple dye. Afterward, you can get creative and make your own paintings to decorate your home. Then, using the berry pigment we made, we will show you how to create your own painting or even use the pigment to make a tie-dye shirt!
*Materials are not included in the registration fee. Although it is encouraged, suggested materials are not required to participate.
Suggested materials:
- 1-2 cup of berries (blackberries, raspberries, mulberries, strawberries)
- cardstock or watercolor paper
- white vinegar (optional)
- salt (optional)
- bowls or small mason jars
- paint brush
- water
