Ms. Nichole Explores... Fruits from Trees!

The final leg of our journey finds us looking up for fruits that grow on trees. We'll visit some local fruit trees in the city, dissect a peach pit, and get busy making an oat streusel for a peach (or other fruit) cobbler.
*Materials are not included in registration fee. Although it is encouraged, suggested materials are not required to participate. Adult supervision may be required.
Suggested materials for program:
- Peach or peach pit to explore and dissect
Suggested materials for food preparation activity:
- Fruit for crumble
- Oat streusel ingredients:
- 1/2 cup Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (packed) light or dark
- 1/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats or quick oats (not instant)
- 1/8 teaspoon salt 4 tablespoons butter, at firm room temperature
