About Wylde Center's Decatur Farm to School Program
Through Wylde Center's Decatur Farm to School program, our staff provides weekly or bi-weekly lessons conducted in school gardens and outdoor classrooms. Students learn how to plant, harvest and cook what they grow and make real world connections to classroom curriculum through food and the environment. We collaborate with teachers and provide over two dozen lesson choices for grades pre K-12 that align to the Common Core Standards.
In addition to our in-school programs, Wylde Center also offers summer internship programs for high school students, scholarships to send teachers to conferences, and mini-grants for schools for their own farm to school projects.
Proceeds from the sale of this tote bag supports our Decatur Farm to School efforts.
